as long as i remember - this iron by far is the best quality iron i have tried and the price is great as well!
there are so many hair irons out there in this price range that claim to be "professional" and have the
highest temp settings but i was blown away by how fast this iron heats up and how fast it gets! it left my
hair shiny and so straight. i love it!!

Every customer I use it on wants one! 17 seconds to heat up plus auto shutoff, genius! I'm looking
forward to getting the new Hair dryer that is supposed to come out in Dec. Thanks

I've been using the
Silcone 450 since
July now. Thank you
very much. As I
am platform artist
for Kenchii shears
and I recently
joined the artistic
team for Nexxus, the
Silicone450 had been
with me on stage at
a number of
shows in the US
already as well as
in my salon. Since
I do a lot of dry
cuts, the iron
definitely gets some
mileage. Each time
on stage someone
will
always come up and
ask about the
iron.
I've been enjoying
it very much
obviously. I
particularly like
the quick
speed up and
recovery time. I'm
actually very
particular and picky
about my
tools. Here are some
concerns I've had,
that you've actually
addressed well
with this
iron.
(1) with others, the
indicator light is
too tiny and
positioned on the
inside of the iron.
I like that the
Silicone450
indicator light is
large and
on the outside of
the shell. This way
I can see if the
iron is on from a
distance. Great for
energy savings and
leaving the iron on
accidentally.
(2) AutoShutOff -
solves the energy
savings and leaving
on accidentally.

(3) After some time,
the metal
connections within
the swivel power
cord will
wear away until
there is no contact
between the two
pieces of metal.
With
irons in the past,
I've had to take
them apart and bend
the metal together
so that there is
contact, then I'll
put some electric
grease to prevent
more
wear and tear. With
the other models I
have, I went ahead
and just taken
them apart to add
electric grease in
hopes to prevent
future
wear.
(4) I like that the
cord for the iron is
extra long. Most
manufacturers
realize now that
long cords is good
for us. Thank
you.
(5) I used to
complain that the
hair would get
caught between the
plate and
the housing. With
one of my FHI runway
irons, I've actually
taken them
apart and sanded the
plastic housing so
that if hair gets
between the plate
and housing, it
would just slip
through. With a
limited edition
model, FHI
changed their
housing to put
little "ears" to
block hair from
going in
between. You guys
already did
that.
So I'm very happy
and impressed with
SalonTech. I even
like the colour
scheme. I'll avoid
tools sometimes if
they're a weird
color like orange or
even white. Thanks
for making them
black.
